The INGROWN project is the result of observations made on urban wanderings. It was born of a need to explore the theme of transience. The documented phenomenon of cars growing into urban space and their decay refers in an obvious way to the ephemeral nature of human life and of material objects.
Karolina Sierota is a photographer whose activity centres mainly on documentary and portraiture. She has always been fascinated by the everyday life of people, by nature and by the relationships between them.
During her journalism studies she focused on visual communication, researching the image of women in the fashion photography of the 1970s.
In 2021 she graduated from the Academy of Photography, completing the diploma project INGROWN under the guidance of Federico Caponi.
