The exhibition title "Prace domowe" [Homework], which encompasses mundane chores such as cooking, washing or cleaning, refers here to practices of a sub-magical nature. Using everyday objects, the artists look for a way to domesticate the home space or to ground their origins.

Isolation in our own homes brought on by the pandemic strengthened the need to locate our roots, to understand them and to take a closer look at our immediate surroundings. The family unit, the living space and what we surround ourselves with in it became important. Objects accumulated over the years changed their meaning - some suddenly took on strong sentimental value, while others were thrown out with the rubbish. A need arose for change, for putting in order the personal microworld enclosed within four walls.
