"Im thinking of You" is an exhibition project based on a mutual artistic exchange between Poland and Finland. Polish artists representing Galeria Pracownia Wschodnia will travel to Finland to present works that refer to Finnish life and culture, while artists associated with Galleria Huuto will visit Poland in February next year to present works devoted to Polish life and society.

The project encourages participants to step beyond stereotypes and consider what a genuine encounter with the life of the "other" means. Even when we know fragments of history or carry deeply rooted cultural images within us, much remains unknown to us. The exhibition focuses on micro-histories – small, personal stories that rarely appear in textbooks, but which can be explored in depth through artistic practice.

We are driven by curiosity, a desire to explore, and the myths we carry within us about others. The exhibition is meant to serve as a starting point for dialogue: discovering shared symbols, reflecting on misunderstandings, and sometimes also laughing at our own assumptions. At its core, "Im thinking of You" is about seeing ourselves through the eyes of the other side – a process of dismantling prejudices and getting to know ourselves from a slightly more distanced, trans-Baltic perspective.

The exhibition is realised with the support of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute as part of the "Kultura Polska Na Świecie" [Polish Culture Around the World] programme.
