"6 prób kontaktu z ziemią" ("6 Attempts at Contact with the Earth") consists of performative actions (6 x approx. 30 minutes):

• in search of stability of the system
• mutual support
• story and ritual 20 May at 17:00
• pure dirt – towards the circulation of matter
• human in the forest
• awareness in matter

In my childhood I was haunted by stories about astronauts - people in a metal capsule launched into space, cut off from everything that keeps us alive. Now it looks to me like a kind of prophetic theatre – a diagnosis of the unstable situation in which we all find ourselves, driven by an (understandable, after all) need for a sense of power and independence. When the planet is threatened, isn't engaging in art an escapist act? How to take care of both oneself and the world at the same time? I would like to talk about attempts to emerge from helplessness – attempts at contact with the earth, searching for a stable point where my life could fit more harmoniously into life on earth, where art and action could support each other. I suspect that this point lies somewhere in a place that in the space age might not have been as tempting as it is today, where stability resembles a muddy vagueness, where connections resembling a tangle of roots and fungal hyphae might have been associated with suffering-inducing dependence. I am glad that I am not alone in these attempts – I would like to show their interpersonal dimension: mutual inspirations, support, complementing each other, cooperation or a similar outlook with several people with whom I collaborated or whom I asked for help – Mikołaj Chylak, Janek Cieślak, Stefan Drewiczewski, Marcin Fiett, Maciek Januszewski, Kasia Kalinowska, Gabi Krajewski, Antek Lisowski, Hanna and Kuba Mazurkiewicz, Wojtek Mejor, Paulina Mirowska, Tomek Melissa, Kuba Rok, Igor Siedlecki, Grześ Stopa, Dorota Uryga, Łukasz Zembaty, Ola Żebrowska, the people forming the Bednarska high school, Pracownia Wschodnia and of course my family - Dominika, Hela and Jaś Owsiński.
